Northern Colorado women's tennis fell to Montana State 4-3
BOZEMAN, Mont. – Northern Colorado (6-10, 2-6 Big Sky) women's tennis started its two match weekend on Saturday with a 4-3 loss at Montana State (7-14, 5-4 Big Sky).
The Bears would drop the doubles point to start the match after winning just the No. 3 match with the pair of Marissa Baca and Anna Battersby 6-2.
UNC would try and make it a match in singles play though, taking half of the matches. Northern Colorado earned the wins in the No. 4-6 matches.
Baca earned the first point of the day for UNC with a 6-1, retired decision in the No.3 game. Her teammates Battersby and Lily-Ana Kreutzer were the other two UNC players to
earn points.
Battersby defeated Shelby Cerovnik of MSU in the No. 5 match 7-5, 6-1 and Kreutzer won her match 6-2, 6-3 against Montana State's Wanda Holopainen.
The Bears will stay in the Gem State for tomorrow's match against the Montana Grizzlies at 9:00 a.m.
