How It Happened

UNC put a three spot up in the opening frame, aided by a two out, two-run home run from Brett Minnick.
The Bears went up 4-0 in the second inning that's to some well executed small ball by the bottom half of their lineup.
In the third UNC benefited from a two out error by the Cougars to put another two runs on the board and be up 6-0 after the first third of the game.
Northern Colorado would be up 7-0, before Chicago State would score its first run of the game with a Matt Sullivan RBI single.
The Cougars would cut the lead to 7-2 after six innings, and make a late charge with three runs over the eighth and ninth inning. Luke Haynes would come in to record the final two outs of the game though with two on to end the CSU comeback and help the Bears avoid the season sweep.
Game Changing Moment
