Northern Colorado women's tennis fell to Sacramento State 7-0 Saturday afternoon
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado's women's tennis team hosted Sacramento State on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Hornets, 7-0.
Sacramento State would start the day off taking all three doubles matches from the Bears. They would win with scores of 6-, 6-1, 6-2 in the three matches, respectively.
In the singles play, Marissa Baca was the lone Bear to take a Hornet to three sets. Baca won the first set of the No. 4 match 6-2 against Deimante Bulatovaite. Bulatovaite would come back and take the next two sets though in 6-1, 6-2 fashion.
Sacramento State won the rest of the singles matches in straight sets. In those matches, Anna Battersby played well for UNC, falling 7-6, 6-3.
UNC will return to the court on April 9 when they head to Bozeman to take on Montana State.
