NAU Earns Comeback win over @UNCBearsWTennis

UNC dropped its women's tennis match against NAU on Sunday 4-3
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Northern Colorado women's tennis dropped a hard fought match at Northern Arizona on Sunday 4-3. The Bears would lose a 3-1 lead in the match as the Lumberjacks would take the final three matches to earn the victory.
The Bears quick start by taking the doubles point with wins from No. 1 pair Beth Cotton and Remi Immler winning 6-3, and No. 2 duo of Courtney Schulte and Hillary Walters-West 6-2 win.
In singles play, NAU would even up the match with a straight set win the No. 1 match, but UNC would respond taking the No. 3 and 4 matches behind Walters-West and Marissa Baca. Both would earn straight set victories by the scores of 6-3, 6-3 for Walters-West and 6-4, 6-0 for Baca.
The match would become even uped at three after NAU took the No. 2 and 6 matches, making the winner of the No. 5 matchup the decider. Anna Battersby of UNC would take the first set 6-2 over Northern Arizona's Jordan Denesik. Denesik would force a decisive third set with a 7-5 victory in the second. With all the momentum in her favor, Denesik completed the Lumberjacks comeback over UNC with a 6-2 third set win.
The Bears will close out their three-match road trip on Friday when they head to Minnesota to take on Minnesota State-Morrehead.
