The Bears beat the Thunderbirds in Cedar City on Thursday
CEDAR CITY, Utah - Northern Colorado Women's Tennis picked up their fourth win over the season, and first Big Sky win, on Thursday, defeating Southern Utah 4-3.
The Bears picked up the doubles point, winning both the No. 1 and No. 3 matches. Beth Coton and Remi Immler, along with Marissa Baca and Anna Battersby, defeated their respective doubles opponents by the same score, 6-3.
Three Bears won their singles matches to win the overall match for UNC, with wins coming at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5.
Hilary Walters-West led the way in the No. 3 match, defeating SUU's Teresa Schmidt 6-3, 6-3. Anna Battersby and Marissa Baca also won their matches without giving up any sets.
UNC will play on the road on Saturday, March 19, as well, facing Northern Arizona in Flagstaff for a 9AM MT start.
