Idaho State closes out the Bears three-game home stretch with a 7:00 p.m. tip this Saturday, Feb. 6
GREELEY, Colo. – A three-game home stand for Northern Colorado (8-14-5-5 Big Sky) comes to a close on Saturday, Feb. 6 as the Bears host Idaho State (10-11, 5-4 Big Sky) for a 7:00 p.m. tip inside Bank of Colorado Arena.

Ehrlich Toyota/Kids Day
- Ehrlich Toyota will be giving away free t-shirts, hats, bracelets and koozies to all fans in attendance on Saturday.
- Kids Day features a ticket promo of purchasing an adult ticket at regular price and receive a youth (13 & under) ticket for free. The team will also hold a post-game autograph session after the game for the little ones and UNC will have face painting and scroll banners available for kids.
Scouting The Bears (Game Notes)
- Northern Colorado had its four-game win streak snapped on Thursday, falling to Weber State at home, 64-54.
- Despite the ten-point differential, the 64 points was the second lowest total any team has held the Wildcats to on the season.
- Junior guard, Anthony Johnson scored a team-high 14 points in the defeat. Johnson finished 50.0% from the field (6-of-12) and 66.6% (2-of-3) from beyond the arc. Freshman guard, Jordan Davis was the only other Bear to reach double figures on the night, chipping in 12 points, three steals and two rebounds.
- The Bears own a three-game win streak against the Bengals in Greeley and haven't fallen to ISU at home since the 2011-12 season. The last time the two teams played in Bank of Colorado Arena UNC pulled out a 79-76 win.
- The last time the Bears played on Feb. 6 was in the 2013-14 season at Idaho State. UNC dropped the game, 73-70.
- UNC is currently 4-4 against the Bengals under head coach B.J. Hill.
Scouting The Bengals
- The Bengals also had a four-game win streak was snapped at North Dakota on Thursday, falling to the Fighting Hawks 76-60.
- Ethan Telfair scored 13 points and Geno Luzcando had 10. The Bengals shot 30 percent (19-62) from the field in the loss.
- ISU outlasted UNC in Pocatello back on Jan. 7, 83-78. Geno Luczcando had a game against the Bears, pouring in 29 points on a perfect 10-of-10 shooting from the field. Ethan Telfair added in 23 points of his own in the win.
- Idaho State hasn't won in Bank of Colorado Arena since the 2011-12 season, when the squeaked out of Greeley with a 57-55 victory.
- ISU currently sits one spot ahead of Northern Colorado in the Big Sky Standings, in sixth place with a 5-4 record.
The Streak Ends
- Two streaks came to an end Thursday night after the 64-54 loss against Weber State. UNC's four-game win streak and Junior guard Jordan Wilson's 21-game double figures scoring streak both closed out against the Wildcats.
- Wilson finished the WSU game just 2-of-8 from the floor and 1-of-3 from beyond the arc. He ended with 7 points and three rebounds in the loss. Wilson's 21 game streak of scoring 10 points or more stands as the current UNC Division I program record.
- The Bears and the Bengals had four-game winning streaks heading into Thursday's game, tied for the current longest in the conference. Both streaks came to and end as UNC fell to Weber and Idaho State lost at North Dakota.
- Freshman guard, Jordan Davis now carries the team's longest streak scoring double digits. After his 12 point performance against Weber State, he's dropped 10 points or more in eight straight contests.
February 6th Games
- Ironically, the last time UNC played a game on Feb. 6th it came against Idaho State in the 2013-14 season. The Bears swallowed a 73-70 loss at Pocatello, during the team's four-game road streak.
- Overall, the program is 11-12 all-time on games played on the date.
- UNC does however hold a three-game win streak over the Bengals in Greeley, winning the last times ISU has visited.
- Northern Colorado and Idaho State met just once in the 2014-15 season with the Bears coming away with the victory at home, 79-76. The team was led by Cameron Michael and Jordan Wilson. Michael scored 24 points and Wilson added 17 in the three-point victory.
Tough Times
- The 54 points scored against Weber State was just the second time this season the team failed to reach 60 points. The first came against Colorado back on Nov. 29, where they scored just 52 points, the season low for the Bears.
- The Bears dished out just six assists against Weber State, the second lowest total for the team all season, the season-low sits at 5.
- UNC finished 60.0% (9-of-15) from the free throw line as a team on Thursday the second lowest percentage they've had this year. The lowest, which was 58.0% also happened against Weber State on Jan. 9.
- Since joining the Big Sky Conference, UNC has only lost twice to Idaho State in the same season in 2006-07 and 2012-13.
#RoadtoReno
- New this year the Big Sky Conference will be headed to Reno, Nevada for both the men's and women's tournament. The #RoadToReno will begin on New Year's Eve and take place over March 7-13 for the women's tournament.
