Taylor Green started as the Director of Men's Basketball Operations at the University of Northern Colorado in 2014-15. He came to Greeley after one year (2013-2014) as an Assistant Coach at Emporia State University.
Green has been an integral part of the program, serving as the interim head coach in 2016, through the transition that saw Jeff Linder become 19th head coach in program history.
During the 2018-19 season he was key in helping the Bears set a new record for Big Sky wins in a single season, 15, as UNC took home four postseason honors from the Big Sky MVP, Newcomer of the Year, Coach of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.
The 2017-2018 Bear’s had a historic season in which UNC went 26-12 and captured the 2017-18 CIT (College Insider Tournament) Championship. The 26 wins were a program record, and the Bears' postseason title was the first in Big Sky Conference men's basketball history.
Green has facilitated the development of Big Sky Conference All-Conference players Tevin Svihovec, Anthony Johnson, Big Sky MVP Jordan Davis and Andre Spight, as well as Two-Time Big Sky Defensive Player of the Year, Jonah Radebaugh.
Green assists in the coordination, guidance, direction, and supervision of the men's basketball program while also overseeing the recording, editing and archiving of practice and game video. Green oversees and maintains the Bears' team budget, as well as recruiting period schedules, team travel and scheduling of games.
Green is also responsible for the coordination of the annual summer team camp, which is the second largest team camp in the nation, west of the Mississippi. Over 2,500 student-athletes come to UNC's campus for games and Green is responsible for all game scheduling, workers, referees and gym reservations.
Prior to Emporia State, Green spent two years as the Head Coach for the 3D Sports (TX) 16 and under team. Green also served as an Assistant Coach at St Mark's of Texas Preparatory School. While at St Mark's, the coaching staff won the TABC High School Most Outstanding Coaching Staff Award for the 2012-2013 season.
Originally from Wichita, Kansas Green earned his Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Business Management from Baker University, in Baldwin City, Kansas. He currently resides in Greeley with his wife, Larin and his daughters Phoenix and Kendrix.
