LARAMIE, Wyo. – UNC Women's Tennis fell to the Drake Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon, 4-0.
The Bears fell in two of the three doubles pairs to give the Bulldogs the doubles point, with #40 doubles team Beth Coton and Remi Immler dropping their match to Mariel Ante and Tess Herder, 6-3 in the No. 1 doubles match. The No. 3 doubles match was cut short, due to DU clenching the point with their first two wins.
The teams would only compete in four of the six singles matches, ending the meet early after the first three matches were completed, all with DU wins. In the No. 1 singles match, however, Lea Krajcovicova was leading, taking the first set 6-1, with the match ending with a 5-5 tie in the second set.
The Bears are back on the courts tomorrow morning at 11:00am to face the Wyoming Cowgirls in their final match of the weekend.
