Bear Necessities
- UNC Remains one of the top scoring offenses in the Big Sky. The Bears are averaging 36.8 points per game. Only Eastern Washington and Montana produce more points a game.

A Look At The Aggies
- UC Davis is currently 0-3 in the Big Sky, coming off a 24-3 loss at Southern Utah last Saturday. Despite the loss, the Aggies still outgained the Thunderbirds on offense 290-260. UC Davis is currently ranked 6th in the Big Sky in scoring offense, producing 28.3 points per game, but are last in the league in scoring defense, giving up 43.0 points each game. The Aggies have one of the best running backs in the conference in Manusamoa Luuga. He's currently rushed for 512 yards and scored a conference-best seven TDs.

- Northern Colorado is 3-5 all-time against UC Davis, with two of those wins coming in the last two seasons. The Bears defeated the Aggies on the road 27-20 in 2014 and 56-27 in Greeley last season. The 56 points scored is a Division I program record for most points scored in a game.

- The defense has been doing a great job of creating turnovers this season. The Bears have now forced eight fumbles this season and recovered seven of them. The seven fumble recoveries ranks them tied for fourth in all of the FCS and just two behind the leaders Fordham and Alabama State.

- Redshirt junior return specialist and wide receiver, Ellis Onic II has now moved into fourth place all-time in UNC history in career kick return yards. Onic II has recorded 1,059 return yards and now sits 179 yards behind Vincent Jackson who has 1,238 kick return yards and is in third place in the record book.

- Senior wide out, Stephen Miller became just the 15th player in school history to record 100 career receptions. Miller had five grabs for 108 yards in the loss at Eastern Washington. He now has 104 catches in his career.

- For the second straight game UNC had four players finish in double-digit tackles. Senior CB, Thomas Singleton finished with a career-best 16 tackles, senior LB, Kyle Newsom also finished with a career-high of 15 tackles, and freshman CB, Marshaun Cameron and senior FS, Tyler Bloyer both notched 10 tackles.

-Â Senior QB, Kyle Sloter currently sits fourth in the Big Sky in passing yards with 1,176 and is averaging 235.2 yards a game. His 13 pass TDs are the third best in the league and the senior is currently on pace to finish the season with 2,587 yards, which would be just shy of the Division I program record set by Seth Lobato in 2012.l when he threw for 2,797 yards.

- The o-line has been keeping the quarterback safe. Through five weeks, the QB has only been sacked seven times, ranking third best in the conference. Last season UNC finished tied for eighth, giving up 23 sacks on the year for 153 yards.

- Northern Colorado has been impressive in third down situations this season. The Bears are converting on third down, 42.9% of the time. The only two teams in the Big Sky to have a higher conversion percentage this year are Caly Poly and Eastern Washington.

- UNC is currently 3-7 in games played on Oct. 15. The last time they won a game on the date came during the 1966 season, defeating Eastern New Mexico 7-6. The last game played on Oct. 15 was in the 2011 season. The Bears fell to Eastern Washington 48-27.

Beginning on Oct. 1, fans across Colorado can watch the team every Saturday exclusively on XFINITY service across Colorado on Channel 900 (HD) and 105 (SD) in the Denver and Colorado Springs DMAs. Roughly, 800,000 subscribers have access to CET from Fort Collins/Greeley in the north to Pueblo in the south along the Front Range. CET can also be seen in mountain towns such as Vail, Aspen, and Steamboat Springs.Â

Off The Field Success
- Besides bringing the first winning record in the program's FCS history to UNC, Coach Collins has also turned the team around in the classroom. Since he took over in 2011 they have raised the team GPA from a 2.51 to a 2.83, the highest the GPA has ever been in the Division I era... He's also placed 45 student-athletes on the All-Big Sky Fall Academic teams, including a team-best 12 players on the 2015 fall conference All-Academic team.
