Northern Colorado Women's Tennis Tallies Second Shutout of Weekend

The Bears shut out Metro State 7-0 on Sunday to move to 2-0 on the season
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado women's tennis picked up another 7-0 shutout on Sunday, defeating Metro State in all nine matches.
The Bears kicked off the day sweeping the doubles matches to clinch the team point. Beth Coton and Remi Immler (in match No. 1) and Hilary Walters-West and Courtney Schulte (match No. 2) defeated their opponents with identical scores, 6-3.
To make the final score 7-0, the UNC squad swept the singles matches as well. Lea Krajcovicova defeated her opponent 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 1 match, and Coton defeating her opponent in the No. 2 match 6-2, 6-0. Junior Marissa Baca also had an excellent day in singles, sweeping her opponent in match No. 5, 6-0, 6-0.
The Bears have the next two weeks off, returning to the courts in Greeley on Feb. 12 to face off against the Colorado Buffalos. The same weekend the Bears will face Drake (Feb. 13) and Wyoming (Feb. 14) up in Laramie, Wyoming.
