@UNCBEARSFB Unveils New Uniforms For 2015 Season

GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado unveiled its new football uniforms for the 2015 season on Tuesday. UNC will don a one-of-a-kind helmet design to go along with a new home-and-away uniform set. The matte yellow helmet brings a historic look back to the Bears team, which wore yellow helmets during the late 60's and early 70's.
Northern Colorado will take the field in the new kit on Saturday, Sept. 5, in the season opener vs. Western State. The home game at Nottingham Field is set for 1:35 p.m. MT and will air on EverSport.tv and Comcast Sports.
The Bears' new uniform features an all-new chassis including the latest in lightweight fabric innovation built for maximum speed, ventilation and comfort. The uniform includes two distinct fabrics for optimal thermoregulation. Each panel on the jersey and pants matches specifically to the pads underneath in order to promote maximum airflow.
UNC's helmet will feature a blue and white stripe down the middle, which is a color not seen on a UNC helmet in decades, and a traditional, but updated UNC on the side, which was last seen on the helmet in 1998.
The Bears will wear their new blue uniform at home games and go with a white jersey when on the road. This season's pants are both blue and white, with the option of wearing four different uniform combinations.
