@UNCBearsTennis Extends Winning Streak to Three Matches

POCATELLO, Idaho - The Northern Colorado Bears began the first stage of their Big Sky road trip taking on Idaho State. UNC would defeats the Bengals with ease, 6-1. The Bears would win two of the three doubles matches and five of the six singles matches.
"The team came out determined and very focused," said head coach Brenda Vlasak. "It was a very windy match and the outcome could've gone either way if we let the wind affect us. The team showed just how mentally tough we can be and just played great tennis today. I'm proud of our efforts and determination."
Beth Coton and Courtney Schulte would earn their tenth doubles win of the year at #1 doubles over Marian Tangarife and Wiebke Boeckmann by a score of 6-2.
The doubles duo of Chrissie Hoolahan and Lindsey Bennet would also with their #2 doubles match, 6-2.
Lea Krajcovicova would start the singles match success for the Bears grabbing her twelfth win of the hear over Kasey Bacon 6-4, 7-6.
Northern Colorado would see more wins come their way at #2, #3, and #4 singles.
Hoolahan would handle her opponent winning 6-2, 6,2 and Coton and Hilary Walters-West would win respectively 7-5, 6-0 and 3-6, 6-4 and 10-6.
Rounding out the successful day for the Bears was Marissa Baca defeating Laura Gutierrez 6-1, 6-2.
The Bears will look to extend their winning streak to four matches tomorrow when then take on Weber State at 10:00 a.m.
