UNC women's basketball enters Saturday night's game against Northern Arizona on a six game win streak

Northern Colorado women's basketball has already clinched a spot in the Big Sky Confrence Tournament, but is looking to continue its six game win streak.

Bear Facts
• UNC is currently on a six game winning streak, it's longest since 2013 when the team won nine straight.
• During this current win streak the Bears have been averaging 79.8 points per game.
• Kourteney Zadina had a career night against Southern Utah Thursday with 22 points on 7-10 shooting, including 6-9 from 3-point range.
• For the second game in a row Northern Colorado had five players score 10 plus points. Along with Zadina, Stephanie Lee (13), Kyleigh Hiser (12), D'shara Strange (11) and Savannah Scott (10) were the five to reach double figures.

Scouting the Lumberjacks
Northern Arizona played in a thrilling double overtime game against North Dakota Thursday, coming out victorious 72-68. The win snapped a two game losing streak for NAU. The 'Jacks are currently battling for a spot in the Big Sky Tournament sitting in sixth place with an 8-7 conference record. Erikka Banks is NAU's do everything player, leading the team in points, rebounds and steals. She is almost averaging a double-double for the year with 13.6 points and 9.0 rebounds a game. This will be the second meeting between UNC and NAU this season. The 'Jacks won the first game between the two schools earlier this month 51-49 in Greeley.

RPI Report
Northern Colorado is currently 162nd in the RPI, ranking 5th overall right now among Big Sky teams. Montana has the highest RPI for the Big Sky at 102. (As of 2/27/15)

On this Date
Northern Colorado is 3-9 on February 28, and still seeking its first win on the road on the date. UNC is currently on a two game win streak on the date though, with the last game coming in 2013 against Eastern Washington getting a 67-66 win.

Conference Race Heats Up
Northern Colorado clinched a spot in the Big Sky Tournament with its win Thursday night against Southern Utah and currently sits in fourth place in the conference standings. The Bears will now be playing it out for seeding in the tournament with the possibility of getting to as high as the second seed.

The Bears will close out their 2014-15 regular season at long time NCC and Big Sky rival North Dakota on Saturday, March 7. The teams faced each other in January with UND winning 68-58
