A Look Back: The 2004 Northern Colorado Football Team

In the spirit of homecoming we'll be taking a look back at the football teams through the decades each day leading up to Saturday's (Oct. 4) game against Northern Arizona at 1:30 p.m., starting with the 2004 Bears.
GREELEY, Colo. – In the spirit of homecoming we'll be taking a look back at the football teams through the decades each day leading up to Saturday's (Oct. 4) game against Northern Arizona at 1:30 p.m., starting with the 2004 Bears.
The 2004 squad was under the leadership of head coach Kay Dalton. Though Northern Colorado went just 2-9 that season, they had some standout players including, Vincent Jackson, Andre Wilson, Tony Christensen, Jacob Carlson, Wade Sumpter, Reed Doughty, and Justin Zaitz.
The team produced two NFL players in Jackson and Doughty.
