Marcos Moreira was named the Facilities and Events Coordinator for Northern Colorado Athletics in August 2025.
Moreira arrived in Greeley after serving as a Facilities and Operations Intern at Coastal Carolina University, where he supported gameday operations for multiple NCAA Division I sports, including football, softball, lacrosse, tennis, and baseball. He also played a key role in the successful execution of nationally recognized events such as the 2024 ESPN Myrtle Beach Bowl, the 2024 ESPN Myrtle Beach Invitational, the 2025 WNIT, and the 2025 NCAA Baseball Regional.
In his current role at UNC, Moreira serves as the primary facility and event manager for baseball, soccer, track & field, and swim & dive, while also supporting operations for all other athletic programs. He leads student staffing efforts, oversees event logistics and venue readiness, and manages coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution. He also oversees external events held at UNC’s athletic facilities and assists with scheduling for multiple sports.
A native of Sayreville, New Jersey, Moreira earned his bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Sport Management from Coastal Carolina University in May 2025. While at CCU, he also served as Chapter President of Alpha Sigma Phi, leading over 100 members and managing a six-figure annual budget. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Sport Administration at the University of Northern Colorado.
