Adrianna Culbert comes to UNC after serving as an assistant coach at the University of South Carolina last year, where she also played for the Gamecocks beach volleyball team as a graduate student. On the beach volleyball team, she played the majority of the year on the team’s top pair winning 24 matches overall. Her performance earned her a spot at the USA Volleyball Collegiate Beach Pairs Championship where she advanced to the round of 16.
Prior to playing at South Carolina, Culbert played at Colorado State under Tom Hilbert for four years, mostly as an outside hitter, but moving to setter her senior year. As a Ram, she was a three-time All-Conference honoree including winning the Mountain West Player of the Year. Culbert earned third team AVCA All-America honors her senior year, and was named the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame Female Collegiate Athlete of the Year as well.
Outside of her year of being an assistant coach at South Carolina, Culbert has coached at the NORCO Volleyball Club.
