Big Sky All-Academic July 5, 2011
2011-12
Cross Country: Selected to the Big Sky Conference All Academic Cross Country Team and ran in the Big Sky Conference Cross Country Championships, where she finished 40th... Ran at the NCAA Mountain Regional and finished in 128th place... Set a personal at the Fort Hays Invitational in the 5K with a time of 19:45.30.Â
Indoor:Â Set a personal at the Air Force Invitational in the 3000 meters with a time of 11:51.30... Ran in just three meets during the season.
Outdoor: Ended the year with a personal best time of 12:33.12 in the 3000 steeplechase at the Jack Christiansen Invitational (Apr. 27)... Also ran in the 800 and 1500 meters during the season... Competed in five meets during the outdoor season.Â
2010-11
Indoor:Â Ran in just two races during the indoor season and both rank in the top 10 in Northern Colorado history... Her 11:57.48 in the 3000 meters ranks eighth, while her 20:59.04 in the 5000 meters is 10th.Â
Outdoor:Â Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team... Finished 13th in the 10,000 meters at the Big Sky Conference Championship, running a 41:18.24... Competed in every distance from 800 to 10,000 meters in her first campaign.
High School: Earned a total of 14 letters for the Badgers throughout high school, lettering four times each in track & field, basketball and volleyball and twice in cross country… Was a second-team All-State selection in cross country… Broke the school records in both the 1600 meters and 3200 meters… Also named to the Academic All-State First Team in both 2008 and 2009 and was an all-conference honorable mention in volleyball her last two years… A member of the National Honor Society as well as the Superintendent’s Honor Roll.
Personal: Father Mike played football at the University of Northern Colorado… Is one of two girls of Mike and Trudy O’Dwyer with a younger sister Ashley… Born Feb. 24 in Hugo, Colorado… Is planning on a degree in dietetics.
