2011-12
Named to the Big Sky All-Academic team for both indoor and outdoor.
Indoor: Qualified for the Big Sky Conference Championships in the long jump and finished ninth... Set a personal best at the Wyoming Power Meet in the 55 meters with a time of 7.52.
Outdoor: Finished sixth at the Big Sky Conference Championship in the long jump and was a member of the 4x100 relay team that placed fifth... During the season, posted a season-best time of 12.53 in the 100 meters at the Beach Invitational (Apr. 20) and 25.75 in the 200 meters at the CSU-Pueblo Open (Mar. 23).
2010-11
A Big Sky All-Academic selection in both indoor and outdoor.
Indoor: Finished in seventh place in the long jump at the Big Sky Conference Championship... At the Colorado School of Mines Twilight Meet, had a career-best jump for the second-straight year, leaping 18-11.5 to qualify for the Big Sky meet.
Outdoor: At the Big Sky Conference Championship, finished eighth overall and third in her flight... Also ran the opening leg of the school's 4x100 meter relay team at the league championship, combining with Ashley Foster, Justine Sandersfeld and Keira Kohls for a seventh-place finish in 47.80... Won the Colorado Invitational with a season best jump of 18-8.
2009-10
Named to the Big Sky All-Academic Team for both indoor and outdoor.
Indoor: Qualified for the Big Sky Conference Championship in the long jump and finished 16th… Was one of just four freshmen in the field… At the Colorado School of Mines Twilight Meet, posted a best jump of 18-8.5.
Outdoor: Improved her standing at the Big Sky Outdoor Championship, finishing 10th in the long jump and was second among freshmen… Her career-best leap of 18-10.75 came in a winning effort at the Fum McGraw Open on May 8.
High School: 2009 graduate from Woodland Park High School... Lettered in four years of volleyball and track & field... Team captain for volleyball and track both junior and senior years... Received all-conference awards in volleyball and track during her sophomore, junior and senior seasons... Named all-state volleyball and track as a senior, as well as MVP in both sports... Broke six school records for volleyball and two for track... Qualified for the state meet all four years in long jump and placed fourth in her senior year... Also qualified for state in the high jump both junior and senior years, finishing eighth as a junior.
Personal: Born March 26... Daughter of Polly and Jason Bruins... Majoring in audiology and speech language sciences.
