Cross Country: Finished 47th at the Big Sky Conference Championship... Set personal bests at the UCCS Rust Buster Invitational for 6000 meters with a time of 21:18.28 and at the Fort Hays Invitational for the 8K with a time of 26:53.90.
Indoor: Ran in just three meets during the indoor season, timing a personal best of 17:24.94 in the 5000 meters at the Air Force Invitational (Feb. 10).
Outdoor: Competed just twice during the outdoor season, running the 3000 at the Tom Benich and the 5000 at the CSU-Pueblo Open.
2010-11
Indoor: Redshirted.
Outdoor: Finished 12th at the Big Sky Conference Championship in the 10,000 meters after running a 33:53.81, which ranks 10th on the Northern Colorado lists... Also posted the eighth-fastest time in school history after running a 9:33.30 in the 3000 meters at the Colorado Invitational.
High School: Graduated from Loveland High School in 2010... Lettered all four years in both cross country and track & field... Coached by Tim Jones and Paul Quere... Named to the All-Conference team three times in cross country... Advanced to the state championships three teams, helping Loveland finish sixth as a sophomore.
Personal: Born October 7 in Fort Collins, Colorado to William and Jamie Kusmik... Has one younger brother, Callen and one younger sister, Kaitlyn... Kyle’s mom Jamie is an alumnae of Northern Colorado.
