Cross Country: Finished 105th at the NCAA Mountain Regional after placing 38th at the Big Sky Conference Championship... Set personal bests at the UCCS Rust Buster Invitational over 6K with a time of 20:37.44 and at the Fort Hays Invitational with a time of 26:01.30 over 8000 meters.
Indoor: In three indoor meets, had a season-best time of 9:38.93 in the 3000 meters at the Air Force Team Challenge (Jan. 28) and a 16:45.33 in the 5000 meters at the Air Force Invitational (Feb. 10).
Outdoor: In five meets, ran every distance from the 800 to the 5000 meters... Posted a career-best time of 9:25.85 in the 3000 at the Tom Benich Invitational (Mar. 16) and his season best time of 16:11.81 in the 5000 came in his final race at the Jack Christiansen Invitational (Apr. 27).
2010-11
Indoor: Posted the fifth-fastest time in school history in both the 3000 and 5000 meters... Timed a 9:32.44 in the 3000 meters at the Don Barrett Duals, while he clocked a 16:37.99 two weeks later at the Air Force Invitational in the 5000 meters... Ran the opening leg of the distance medley relay for the Bears at the Big Sky Conference Championship that finished ninth.
Outdoor: Competed in six meets during the outdoor season, running every distance from 800 to 5000 meters... Posted his career best time of 16:06.43 in the 5000 meters at the Front Range Championship.
High School: Earned four letters each in cross country and track & field for the Coyotes... Was a three-time all-conference selection and is a member of the 4x800 relay school record holding team... Named to the honor roll in 2009.
Personal: Is the youngest of two children of Kathleen and Thomas McCarthy with a sister, Megan... Born May 11, 1992 in Boulder, Colo... Hopes to major in accounting at Northern Colorado.
