Indoor: Qualified for Big Sky Championships in long jump, finishing 11th...Best mark in long jump (6.75 meters) came Dec. 6 at Wyoming's Power Meet in Laramie, where he placed second...Also competed in 55 and 60 meters during the year.
Outdoor: Qualified for Big Sky Championsips in long jump, placing 11th...His leap of 7.21 meters in the long jump April 4 at Northern Colorado's Tom Benich Invitational was the 10th-best mark in school history at that time.Â
2012-13
Indoor: Qualified for Big Sky Championships in the long jump, placing 15th with a jump of 6.49 meters...Best mark of the season (6.83 meters) came Feb. 15 at Joe Davies Collegiate Open in Golden...Also competed in 55 and 65 meters during the season.
Outdoor: Qualified for Big Sky Championships in triple jump, long jump and was a member of the 4x100 relay team...Best mark in long jump (6.99 meters) and triple jump (13.19) both came April 26 at the Jack Christiansen Invitational in Fort Collins.
2011-12
Indoor: Finished 11th at the Big Sky Conference Championship in the long jump as a freshman after a jump of 21-8... Had his career-best jump of 22-5 at the Colorado Mines Twilight Open (Feb. 17).
Outdoor: Qualified for the Big Sky Conference Championship in both the long jump and as a member of the 4x100 relay team... Finished 12th in the long jump after his leap of 21-10... Recorded his career-best jump of 22-8 at the Tom Benich Invitational (Mar. 16)... Ran an 11.51 in the 100 meters at the Beach Invitational (Apr. 20).
High School:Â Earned a total of seven letters for the Warriors, three in football, three in baseball and one in track & field... Was both an all-conference and all-state selection in track & field... As a senior was team captain of both the football and baseball teams... Holds the school record in the long jump and was a member of the school 4x100 relay... Took fourth place at state in the long jump... Never practiced with the track & field team due to baseball... His batting average was above .300 in all three seasons as a varsity player on the diamond.
Personal:Â Is the oldest of two children of Tammie and Brandon Rupe with a younger brother, Cole... Born Dec. 1 in Grand Junction... Plans on majoring in sports & exercise science.
