Bears Sit Third After Day One of Bear Brawl

GREELEY, Colo. - Northern Colorado women's golf sits in third place following the opening two rounds of the 2026 Bear Brawl at Greeley Country Club. The Bears carded a team score of +24 through 36 holes and remain within striking distance heading into Tuesday's final round.

Northern Colorado opened the tournament with an +8-team score in the first round before posting a +16 second round. The Bears currently sit behind tournament leader St. Thomas (+12) and second-place UTRGV (+19), with one final round remaining.

Jaci Hartman leads the Bears individually, sitting tied for third at +2 after rounds of 71 and 73. Hartman opened the tournament with an even-par first round before finishing the second round at +2. Olivia Salonek is also tied for third at +2, making a significant move up the leader board with a second-round 69 (-2). After opening with a 75, Salonek's 69 was one of the strongest rounds of the day and moved her into the top three heading into the final round.

Samantha Colombine sits in 14th at +9 after rounds of 72 and 79, while Brooklynn Maes is tied for 17th at +11 following rounds of 74 and 79. Shae Maiorana rounds out the Bears' team lineup in a tie for 25th at +16, carding rounds of 78 and 80.

Competing individually, Erica Rygh leads the individual Bears, sitting tied for 11th at +7 after rounds of 73 and 76. Logan Culpepper is tied for 15th at +10 with consecutive rounds of 76, while Siyao Liang sits tied for 20th at +13 after improving by seven strokes in the second round with a 74. Natalia Lamadrid is currently 35th.

With just 18 holes remaining, the Bears will look to make a final push up the leader board when the Bear Brawl concludes Tuesday at Greeley Country Club.
