Bears Finish Runner-Up at Bear Brawl

GREELEY, Colo. - Northern Colorado women's golf closed out the 2026 UNC Bear Brawl with a runner-up finish on Tuesday at Greeley Country Club, finishing tied with UTRGV at 32-over 884 through three rounds.

The Bears finished 16 strokes behind tournament champion St. Thomas (Minn.), which finished at 16-over 868. UTRGV and Northern Colorado tied for second at 32-over, followed by CSU Bakersfield at 57-over, Southern Illinois at 80-over and Montana at 83-over.

Olivia Salonek led the way for the Bears, finishing second individually at 1-over 214. Salonek saved her best for last, carding a 1-under 70 in Tuesday's final round. She opened the round with a 1-under 34 on the front nine before finishing with an even-par 36 on the back nine.

Jaci Hartman joined Salonek in the top five, tying for fourth at 4-over 217. Hartman finished the final round with a 2-over 73, including a 1-over 33 on the front nine and a 4-over 40 on the back nine. Samantha Colombine finished tied for 11th at 13-over 226, closing the tournament with a 4-over 75. Colombine posted a 4-over 36 on the front nine before carding a 3-over 39 on the back nine.

Shae Maiorana rounded out the Bears' team lineup, finishing 29th at 27-over 240. Maiorana carded an 11-over 82 in the final round, shooting 42 on the front nine and 40 on the back nine.

Competing individually for Northern Colorado, Erica Rygh tied for 11th at 13-over 226, while Logan Culpepper tied for 16th at 17-over 230. Rygh finished Tuesday with a 6-over 77, while Culpepper posted a 7-over 78.

Brooklynn Maes finished 14th overall at 14-over 227, recording a 3-over 74 in the final round. Maes opened with a 3-over 36 on the front nine and finished with a 2-over 38 on the back nine. Also competing individually, Natalia Lamadrid finished 35th at 41-over 254, while Siayo Liang finished the final round with an 18-over 89.
