Prior to UNC: Maes brings collegiate experience to Northern Colorado after spending last season at Southern Utah, where she competed in four rounds before her season was cut short due to injury. Prior to Southern Utah, Maes competed at Western New Mexico, appearing in all 13 tournaments and posting a team-best 74.34 scoring average across 29 rounds. She recorded a career-low round of 68 (-4) at the RJGA Shootout at Estrella and continued her consistent play with rounds of 70 (-2) at the Lone Star Conference Championship and 71 (-1) at the Southern Colorado Open. She also carded even-par rounds of 72 on four occasions throughout the season. Among her top performances, Maes captured the individual title at the SMSU Spring Classic, finishing with rounds of 72 and 75 to earn medalist honors. Her success extended beyond the course, as she was recognized on the Lone Star Conference Academic Honor Roll for her achievements in the classroom.
