BOISE, Idaho – Northern Colorado soccer closed out its non-conference schedule Friday night with a 3-0 loss to Boise State at Boas Soccer Complex.

Boise State got on the board early, scoring just 36 seconds into the match on a goal from Campbell Wilson to take a 1-0 advantage.

The Broncos added to their lead in the 20th minute when Wilson found the back of the net for the second time, with Mia Lane picking up the assist, giving Boise State a 2-0 advantage heading into halftime.

Northern Colorado continued to battle in the second half but was unable to break through the Boise State defense. The Broncos added their third and final goal in the 64th minute when Asia Lawyer scored off an assist from Dalen Lau.

Boise State finished the night with a 19-5 advantage in shots and put six attempts on goal compared to one for Northern Colorado. The Broncos held a 5-4 edge in corner kicks.

Thordis Melsted recorded three saves in goal for the Bears.

The loss moves Northern Colorado to 3-5-2 on the season as the Bears conclude their non-conference schedule. Boise State improves to 8-1-1.
