Northern Colorado Continues Its California Road Trip Against San Diego State

GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado women's soccer continues its California road trip Sunday as the Bears travel to take on San Diego State at the SDSU Sports Deck. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. MT.
The Bears enter the matchup at 3-3-2 and riding a two-match winning streak after earning victories over Air Force and UC Riverside.
Lexi Tuite provided the difference for the Bears, finding the back of the net in the 20th minute for her second goal of the season. Anneliese Wong picked up the assist on the play.
UNC controlled much of the attacking action, outshooting UC Riverside 9-4 and putting five attempts on goal. The Bears' defense held the Highlanders to just two shots on target to preserve the clean sheet.
The victory improved Northern Colorado to 3-3-2 overall and extended its winning streak to two matches.
The Aztecs are coming off a 2-0 victory over Pepperdine on Thursday. Victoria Miller opened the scoring in the ninth minute before Cayden Chowana-Bandhu added another in the 51st minute.
Chowana-Bandhu has emerged as a key part of the SDSU attack, scoring in each of the Aztecs' last two victories. Goalkeeper Kailey Carlen recorded her 10th career solo shutout against Pepperdine, making two saves.
Sunday will mark the first meeting between Northern Colorado and San Diego State.
The Bears have allowed just one goal during their current two-match winning streak, following a 2-1 victory over Air Force with Thursday's shutout at UC Riverside.
UNC has also found contributions throughout the lineup during the stretch. Ava Marshall and Francesca Jordan scored against Air Force before Tuite delivered the game-winner Thursday night in Riverside.
