Northern Colorado Wraps Decathlon with Strong Showing

GRESHAM, Ore. – Northern Colorado wrapped up competition in the men's decathlon at the 2026 Big Sky Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Pollyea paced the Bears with a ninth-place finish, totaling 5,020 points across the two-day, 10-event competition. He opened the decathlon with a strong showing in the 100 meters, clocking 11.14 to place third overall in the event and earn 830 points.
Pollyea added consistent performances throughout the field, including a mark of 6.48 meters in the long jump and a throw of 45.09 meters in the javelin, which ranked fourth among the field. He also contributed solid efforts in the 110-meter hurdles (16.02) and pole vault (3.55m), helping him maintain position inside the top 10.
Rembert finished just behind in 10th place with 4,945 points, highlighted by a runner-up finish in the shot put with a toss of 11.94 meters to score 603 points. He added a strong clearance of 1.79 meters in the high jump and a 43.05-meter mark in the javelin. Rembert closed out the decathlon with a time of 5:37.95 in the 1500 meters, capping his final conference multi-event performance.
Northern Colorado gained valuable points and experience in the multi-events, with both Bears competing across all disciplines against a deep Big Sky field.
