PREVIEW: UNC Women’s Basketball Returns Home for Weber State, Idaho State

GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado women's basketball returns to Bank of Colorado Arena for a two-game home stand beginning Thursday, February 5, as the Bears welcome Weber State for the annual Pink Game. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. MT, with the night focused on raising awareness and support for cancer initiatives.
The home stand continues Saturday, February 7, when Northern Colorado hosts Idaho State in Greeley. Saturday's contest will tip at 2 p.m. MT as the Bears look to continue building momentum in Big Sky Conference play.
LAST TIME OUT
Northern Colorado split games last week, opening with a narrow loss to Idaho in a competitive, back-and-forth match up on Thursday afternoon. The Bears rebounded on Saturday with a strong performance, earning a 71–62 road win over Eastern Washington in Cheney, Washington.
The victory moved Northern Colorado to 7–3 in Big Sky play and highlighted the team's composure and toughness away from home.
BEARS CONTINUE TO DEFEND THE DEN
Northern Colorado has protected its home court this season, posting a 9–3 record at Bank of Colorado Arena. The Bears will aim to push that mark to 11–3 overall this weekend.

Through 23 games, Northern Colorado's depth has drawn national recognition. The Bears rank fourth among all Division I programs in bench points per game, with 740 total bench points and an average of 32.2 per contest.
ANIAH HALL NEARING 1,000 CAREER POINTS
Senior Aniah Hall continues to be a key offensive weapon for the Bears and is closing in on a major milestone. With 988 career points, Hall needs just 12 more to reach 1,000, which would make her the 24th player in UNC women's basketball history to accomplish the feat.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Weber State enters the week with a 7–16 overall record and a 1–9 mark in conference play. The Wildcats are coming off a 72–64 victory over Sacramento State.
Offensively, WSU is led by Antoinette Emma-Nnopu, who averages 14.5 points per game while shooting an impressive 55 percent from the field.
As a team, Weber State averages 64.2 points per game, shooting 40.4 percent from the floor and 31.2 percent from three-point range.
