Pool Record Falls as Bears Collect Four First-Team All-MPSF Honors on Day Two

PHARR, Texas – Northern Colorado delivered another statement performance on day two of the MPSF Championships, collecting four First Team All-Conference honors and setting a pool record in the 200 freestyle relay.
The Bears opened the evening in electrifying fashion as Vitoria Simioni, Alexis Mishler, Martina Yuki Trionfetti and Kyra Rabess combined to win the 200 free relay in 1:31.17, shattering the pool record and earning First Team All-MPSF recognition.
In the 500 freestyle, Kyra Rabess continued her strong championship showing with a third-place finish in 4:50.88, earning First Team All-Conference honors.
Maria Erokhina added another standout swim in the 200 IM, placing second overall in 2:02.00. The performance ranks No. 3 all-time in Northern Colorado program history and earned her First Team All-MPSF distinction.
Martina Yuki Trionfetti capped the night for the Bears with a second-place finish in the 50 freestyle, touching in 22.81 to secure First Team All-Conference honors.
Violet Noel paced the divers, qualifying for the consolation 3M final and finishing seventh with 219.85.
Competition continues tomorrow morning.
