ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Northern Colorado closed out competition at the Don Kirby Elite with multiple top-five finishes and two improved marks that strengthened the program's all-time list.
Daniel Beckford led the way for the men in the 60-meter hurdles, qualifying fifth out of prelims in 7.85 before matching that finish in the final with a 7.84. The time improves his standing as the No. 2 performer in school history, a position he already held, trimming his previous mark as he continues to chase championship form heading into the postseason.
On the women's side, Camaria Corder recorded a fifth-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 12.96 meters (42-6.25), adding another strong performance to her indoor campaign. In the 800 meters, Monique Stewart delivered one of the top races of the meet, placing second overall in 2:09.05. The time improves her No. 3 standing on Northern Colorado's all-time list, slightly lowering her previous best while maintaining her position in the record book.
