GREELEY, Colo. - Northern Colorado Wrestling is gearing up for an exciting 2026-27 season as the Bears prepare to enter a historic new chapter with their first season competing in the Pac-12 Conference.
Under the direction of head coach Teyon Ware, who enters his second season at the helm, the Bears look to build on last season's progress while embracing new challenges and opportunities against a new conference lineup.
Northern Colorado will open the season at home on Sunday, Nov. 8, welcoming No. 17 Oklahoma to Bank of Colorado Arena for a 2 p.m. matchup. The season opener carries added significance as the Sooners are Ware's alma mater, setting the stage for an exciting start to the 2026-27 campaign.
Following the home opener, the Bears will travel to Buies Creek, North Carolina, to face Campbell on Saturday, Nov. 14. Northern Colorado will then return to Greeley on Sunday, Nov. 22, to host Michigan, giving Bear fans another opportunity to see the team compete on its home mat.
With a new conference, a challenging schedule and an opportunity to establish itself on a new stage, Northern Colorado is ready to begin its 2026-27 campaign and make its mark in the Pac-12.
