Baseball Set to Travel to Oklahoma

The Bears will take on Oral Roberts May 9-11
GREELEY, Colo. - The Bears will play in their final regular season road series of the 2025 season, making the trip to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for Summit League series against the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles.

A LOOK AT THE BEARS
Northern Colorado enters the weekend with an overall record of 17-28 with an 8-16 mark in league action to sit sixth in the Summit League standings. The Bears are coming off a series loss on the road to South Dakota State last weekend where they took the opener, 9-6, before falling in two straight games.

The Bears are hitting .278 as a team so far this season with 309 runs on 435 hits as they have registered 87 doubles, 12 triples, and 20 homeruns for a slugging percentage of .387 to go along with 205 walks and 337 strikeouts. Jake King leads the way at the plate, hitting .341 with 87 doubles and 62 total hits to drive in 33 RBI.

UNC has registered a team ERA of 7.92 as they have allowed 401 runs (345 earned) on 532 hits 205 walks and an opposing batting average of .325. Murphy Geinger is 1-3 on the year with a 5.86 ERA, allowing 49 runs on 87 hits with 23 walks and 66.0 innings pitched.

The Golden Eagles of Oral Roberts are currently second in the Summit League standings, holding a 27-19 overall record and 14-9 league record. In their last matchup at Jackson Field, the Bears avoided being swept by winning the series finale 18-10.

ORU is coming off a series win over North Dakota State last weekend, winning two of the three games in extra-innings.

The Golden Eagles are hitting .280 as a team this season with 262 runs on 442 hits as they have registered 77 doubles, three triples, and 47 homeruns for a slugging percentage of .422 to go along with 163 walks and 338 strikeouts.
