Tate Tied for Seventh as Bears Sit Seventh After Two Rounds in Florida

Cooper Tate leads Northern Colorado at 1-under through 36 holes at the Old Corkscrew Intercollegiate
ESTERO, Fla. – Northern Colorado men's golf wrapped up two rounds of the Old Corkscrew Intercollegiate on Monday in seventh place with a two-day total of 599 at the challenging Old Corkscrew Golf Club (par 72, 7393 yards).
Cooper Tate is turning in his best performance of the 2024-25 season, leading the Bears with a two-round total of 143 (-1). He opened with a season-best 3-under 69 and followed it up with a steady 74 in round two to enter Tuesday's final round tied for seventh individually.
Westin Pals provided consistency for UNC, posting matching rounds of 75 to sit at 6-over (150) and tied for 32nd.
JaeSeung Na and Antti Vahvaselka are both tied for 38th at 9-over (153). Na fired a 73 in round one before carding an 80 in round two, while Vahvaselka went 75-78 across the first two rounds.
Rounding out the lineup was Matias Koropeski, who shot 84 and 92 in his first two rounds and is in 60th place.
Northern Colorado will look to finish strong in Tuesday's final round and push for a top-half team finish in the 10-team field.
