Rascon Breaks School Record as Bears Open Jim Click Shootout Strong

Northern Colorado posts top finishes in Tucson with standout performances in the 3000m, long jump, and pole vault on Day 1
TUCSON, Ariz. – Northern Colorado men's and women's track & field wrapped up Day 1 of the Jim Click Shootout on Friday with several strong performances, including a new school record in the men's 3000m.
Kiana Van Haaren led the way in the long jump, finishing third overall with a mark of 6.04m. Teammate Jaelynn Lane also competed in the event and jumped 5.40m to place eighth.
In the women's pole vault, Alexa Oatman cleared 3.41m to place 13th.
On the men's side, Isaac Rascon headlined the 3000m with a second-place finish and a school-record time of 8:34.71. Right behind him, Dylan Wilson also broke the previous record, placing third in 8:36.74. Noah Osmond rounded out the group in fourth at 9:00.69.
