Northern Colorado Places 27 on Winter Big Sky All-Academic Team

FARMINGTON, Utah – The Big Sky Conference recognized 27 University of Northern Colorado student-athletes on the 2024-25 Winter All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
The honor highlights academic achievement among student-athletes competing in men's and women's basketball and indoor track and field. To qualify, student-athletes must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher, participated in at least half of their team's competitions, and completed at least one academic term at their Big Sky institution.
"I'm proud of how our student-athletes balance Division I competition with a strong commitment to their academic success," said UNC Director of Athletics Darren Dunn. "They represent what it truly means to be a student-athlete at Northern Colorado, and we celebrate their efforts both in competition and in the classroom."
Northern Colorado's 27 honorees span four programs, with men's indoor track & field leading the way with nine selections, followed closely by women's indoor track & field (7), women's basketball (7), and men's basketball (4).
Across the Big Sky, a total of 546 student-athletes earned a spot on the Winter All-Academic Team, including 84 with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
