Shehee Paces Bears at Cowgirl Classic

UNC Sits in 11th After Day One
MARICOPA, Ariz. – Timbre Shehee rebounded from a slow start to pace Northern Colorado after two rounds Wednesday at the Cowgirl Classic – hosted by Wyoming – at the AK-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club (par 72/6,191 yards).
Shehee gained 22 spots in the second round, with an even-par 72. She tallied 152 through 36 holes and finished the opening day in a three-way tie for 21st.
As a team, UNC occupied 11th place in the 15-team field with a 319-318—637, heading into Thursday's final round. Iowa State leads with a 288, while UNLV trails by one stroke and Grand Canyon recorded a 596, the third-lowest total.
UTEP accumulated 620 strokes, 17 fewer than UNC in 10th place, while Eastern Washington (645) trails the Bears by eight swings.
Carolina Fallotico inked a 158 (77-81) and completed the day in an eight-way tie at 44.
Samantha Colombine carded a pair of 81s and in a two-way draw for 60th.
Jaci Hartman totaled 165 (81-84), while Shae Maiorana rounded out the team scoring with an 88-86—174.
Kailey Bass, playing as an individual, with an 85-82—167.
