GREELEY, Colo. – The University of Northern Colorado baseball team unleashed a relentless offensive attack on Sunday afternoon at Jackson Field, powering past Oral Roberts 18-10 in the final game of the weekend series.

The Bears (11-23, 4-11 Summit League) wasted no time putting runs on the board, plating nine in a huge first inning to set the tone early. Shortstop Brandon Sanchez led the offensive outburst on the day, going 3-for-5 with six RBIs.

UNC tallied 19 hits, with seven different players recording at least one RBI. Second baseman Brett Barber and third baseman Kai Wagner each had three hits and combined to score five runs. Wagner also drove in three, including a sacrifice fly in the seventh.

Freshman Jake Storey (1-2) picked up his first win of the season, working 5.2 innings and allowing six earned runs while striking out four. Relievers Dylan Smith and Brady Hudson closed it out over the final 3.1 innings.

Other standouts included Carter Monda, who went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, and Jake Bullard, who added three hits and an RBI of his own.

Despite a 16-hit performance by the Golden Eagles (20-13, 8-5), UNC's early lead proved insurmountable. Oral Roberts starter Brenden Asher struggled, lasting just two-thirds of an inning while giving up nine runs on eight hits.

The Bears will travel to face North Dakota State for a three-game series beginning Thursday, April 17.
