Tournament Reduced to 18 Holes Due to Snow
SEDONA, Ariz. – Samantha Colombine led Northern Colorado at the Red Rocks Invitational – hosted by Northern Arizona – at Oak Creek Country Club (par 72/6,215 yards) Sunday, March 16.
Tournament officials reduced the event from a 54-hole tournament to 18 after snow suspended play and wiped-out Saturday's action. The 19 teams resumed play Sunday from where action was halted Friday.
Colombine fired a 3-over par 75 and finished in a 13-way tie for 42nd. She birdied her second hole Friday, a 135-yard par 3, and registered 12 pars on the round.
UNC placed 17th, with 311, two shots behind Southern Utah and 14 fewer swings than Montana. Grand Canyon won the team title with 288, one shot ahead of host Northern Arizona and two strokes better than South Dakota State in third.
Timbre Shehee and Carolina Fallotico tied for 71st with a 78. Shehee sank one birdie putt, while Fallotico converted two.
Olivia Salonek and Jaci Hartman carded matching 80s, rounding out the scoring for UNC. Salonek birdied the par-4 15 and the par-5 18.
