Bears Move Up Leaderboard in Final Round

Colombine Finished in a Tie for Fourth
PHOENIX – Led by Samantha Colombine, Northern Colorado moved up two spots into eighth on the final day of the GCU Invitational – hosted by Grand Canyon – on the GCU Golf Course (par 72/6,300 yards) Wednesday.
Colombine, a freshman from Tabasco, Mexico, inked her second-consecutive even-par 72, gaining four spots on the leaderboard and finishing in a three-way tie for fourth. She posted a 1-under (71-72-72—215), the lowest total of her freshman campaign, with her season's best finish.
Lauryn Greeny of Montana State defeated GCU's Caylnne Rosholt on the third hole of a playoff after the pair tallied a 6-under par 210 over the 54 holes. Rosholot's teammate Jess Haines claimed third at 3-under par (213).
UNC tallied a 302-298-304—904, four swings behind UC Riverside, which placed seventh. The Bears tallied three fewer strokes than ninth-place Idaho. GCU won its tournament with a 284-287-286--857, 12 shots ahead of UC Irvine.
Timbre Shehee tallied a 75-72-78-225 and finished in a two-way tie for 31st.
Jaci Hartman fired a 77 Wednesday and recorded a 231 after she posted a 79 and 75 Tuesday.
Carolina Fallotico shot her second 77 of the event in the final round. She recorded a 233, with a 77 and 79 in the first two rounds.
Kailey Bass rounded out the scoring for UNC with a three-round total of 79-79-81—239.
UNC returns to action March 14-16 at the Red Rocks Invitational – hosted by Northern Arizona.
