Berg Named Luna's Taco UNC Student-Athlete of the Week

Madison Berg set the school record in 1-meter dive on Friday
GREELEY, Colo. – Madison Berg has been named the Luna's Taco University of Northern Colorado Student Athlete of the Week after her performance on the diving boards, the athletics department announced Monday.
A senior from Baraboo, Wis., Berg broke the UNC 1-meter All-Time record at the DU First Chance Meet in Denver on Friday. Berg scored 309.30, breaking the previous mark of 305.55 set in 2011 by Kelly Smeckpepper-Cook.
In the dual against GCU on Saturday, Berg won the 1-meter with 308.70 and finished second on the 3-meter with 267.90.
"It has been rewarding to see Madison's hard work and commitment paying off this year," said Head Swimming & Diving Coach Lisa Ebeling, "We are excited for her to lead our divers into post season competition."
"What an awesome way to finish her last regular season!" said Diving Coach Jacob Butler, "The work isn't done. We have to be ready to get the cherry on top at conference."

The Bears will shift their focus to the 2025 Western Athletic Conference Championships in Houston, Texas. The four-day meet begins on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
