Tickets On Sale For The 2026 Northern Colorado Athletics Hall of Fame Class Induction Ceremony

GREELEY, Colo. – Tickets are on sale now to the Northern Colorado Athletics Hall of Fame Class Induction Ceremony on October 16.
This year we will honor Monique Guidry, Jeff Huntoon, Alex Wesley, and the 1974-75 UNC football teams. The ceremony will be held at the University Center on Oct. 16 with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and the program starting at 6:45 p.m., registration closes on Sept. 30. The following day the Bears will face off against Cal Poly at 6 p.m. at Nottingham Field.
Guidry (Women's Track & Field/Cross Country, 1983-87), is honored for her enduring impact as both a standout distance runner and a respected coach. Guidry remains among UNC's all-time leaders in the 10,000 meters and 3,000 meters, with marks that still rank in the program's top-10 decades later. She was also a 1985 NCAA Championships Qualifier in the 10,000 meters. Competing across multiple distance events and relays during her collegiate career, she translated that success into a 20-year coaching tenure at Boulder High School, where she developed district and regional champions, coached a two-time state champion, and guided teams to state runner-up finishes. Her long-standing commitment to education and mentorship reflects the foundation built during her time at Northern Colorado.
Huntoon (Track & Field, 1985-88), is recognized for both his collegiate accomplishments and his remarkable international coaching career. A three-time NCAA Division II qualifier and two-time conference champion, Huntoon was a team captain, conference MVP, and former school-record holder in the 110-meter high hurdles. He ranks among UNC's top-10 all-time performers in multiple indoor and outdoor events. After graduating in 1988, Huntoon built one of the sport's most respected coaching resumes, leading West Virginia's men to the program's only IC4A championship and later developing elite athletes at Indiana University. Across his career, he has coached more than 100 NCAA Division I All-Americans, five national champions, and served on four Olympic and seven World Championship staffs, personally mentoring three Olympic medalists.
Wesley (Football/Track & Field, 2014-18), enters the Hall as one of the most decorated multi-sport student-athletes in program history. In football, Wesley became just the second Bear to record multiple 1,000-yard receiving seasons and finished among the national leaders at the FCS level in 2018, ranking eighth nationally in receiving yards per game. A two-time All-Big Sky selection and team captain, he earned invitations to the Reese's Senior Bowl and NFL Combine before signing with the New York Giants. On the track, Wesley was a three-time Big Sky champion in the 400 meters, a Second Team All-American, and NCAA Championships qualifier, earning Male Athlete of the Year honors for his excellence across both sports.
The 1974 and 1975 football teams headline this year's class after capturing back-to-back Great Plains Athletic Conference championships with a combined 16-2 overall record and a perfect 10-0 mark in conference play. Led by Hall of Fame coach Bob Blasi, the Bears established themselves as one of the premier programs of the era. The championship squads featured standout contributors including quarterback Gerry Dattilio, running back Chuck Taibi, wide receiver Mike Mitchell, tight end Dwight Bryan, linebackers Gary Weibert and Gary Widhelm, defensive backs Greg Witwer and Steve Mason, and other impact players Bob Bliss, Dave Stalls, and Terry Boekhout.
