GREELEY, Colo.- Northern Colorado volleyball is excited to announce a new signee to the program. Head Coach Lyndsey Oates and the coaching staff welcome a talented Middle Blocker to the team.
MEET THE SIGNEE
Summer Snead | Middle Blocker | Nashville, Tenn. | University of Alabama at Birmingham
Summer Snead is the daughter of Tamika and Ed Snead. Her mother is a MTSU alum, while her father played basketball at UTC. She has one sibling, Esuan Snead.
Snead brings significant experience after playing at Alabama at Birmingham previously. Her play earned Summer Honorable Mention recognition.
She chose UNC because it was the perfect fit both athletically and academically. She trusts the coaching staff, values the competitive culture, and is excited about the chance to grow on and off the court. From the start, it felt like home.
Outside of volleyball, Summer enjoys building Lego's and thrifting.
"Summer is as physical of an athlete that we have ever had at UNC. With some very specific skill training this spring, she could be a difference maker in our conference. Her ability to play high and fast was something we needed after graduating to senior middles" said Head Coach, Lyndsey Oates.
