Bears Conclude Big Sky Play, Face Montana State in First Round
11/22/2025 9:39:00 AM | Women's Volleyball
GREELEY, Colo. — Northern Colorado volleyball is set to open the Big Sky Championship on its home court, as the Bears host this year's tournament at Bank of Colorado Arena. UNC begins postseason play Monday night with a first-round match up against No. 6 seed Montana State.
The Bears enter the bracket as the No. 3 seed. First serve against the Bobcats is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT, marking the third meeting between the two teams this season.
The regular-season series ended in a 1–1 split. Northern Colorado fell in four sets during its trip to Bozeman, unable to overcome Montana State inside Shroyer Gym. But the Bears responded strongly in the October rematch, sweeping the Bobcats in Greeley and showcasing the kind of rhythm and defensive consistency.
With the tournament now shifting to a win-or-go-home format, the Bears aim to capitalize on familiar surroundings, a supportive home crowd, and the momentum they've built heading into postseason play.
