11/19/2025 2:32:00 PM | Women's Basketball
GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado Women's Basketball (3–1) is set for its first road trip of the 2025–26 season as the team heads to Chicago, Illinois to compete in the WellNow Blue Demon Classic, hosted by DePaul (1–3).
The multi-team event features four programs: Northern Colorado, Campbell, Grambling State, and host DePaul. Tournament action begins on Friday, November 21, with the Bears opening play against Campbell at 2 p.m. MST inside Wintrust Arena.
UNC enters the weekend looking to rebound after a narrow 56–53 loss to Summit League opponent Denver—a tightly contested match up that featured multiple back and forth baskets at Bank of Colorado Arena.
On the offensive end, the Bears have showcased strong ball movement and balanced scoring. Through the first four games, sophomore Neenah George ranks in the conference's top ten in scoring at 14.8 points per game. Meanwhile, junior Tatum West has been a force on the boards, sitting among the top three rebounders in the conference by averaging 8.8 per game.
This weekend will mark UNC's first-ever meeting with Campbell, giving the Bears an opportunity to secure an inaugural win in the all-time series.
With a guaranteed two games ahead and their first road environment of the year, Northern Colorado will look to regroup and return to the win column in Chicago.
