Bears Cruise To Third Straight Win at Home

GREELEY, Colo. – The Northern Colorado women's basketball team kept its perfect home record intact Tuesday night, powering past Bethany College in a dominant non-conference victory.
The Bears came out firing, setting the tone early with relentless energy and pressure defense. Their aggressive play forced a flurry of turnovers, which they quickly turned into points, building a commanding 34-9 lead after the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Northern Colorado continued to apply full-court pressure and trap defensively, keeping Bethany on its heels. The Bears took a 50-24 advantage into halftime.
The momentum continued in the third quarter as Northern Colorado mixed up its defensive looks to sustain pressure and create fast-break opportunities, stretching the lead to 73-36 heading into the final frame.
The Bears closed out the fourth quarter with confidence, cruising to their third straight home win to open the 2025–26 season.
Heather Baymon led Northern Colorado with 14 points, shooting 5-of-13 from the field. Lele Tanuvasa contributed 13 points on an impressive 5-of-6 shooting performance, while Aniah Hall also tallied 12 points on an equally efficient 5-of-6 from the floor. Tatum West chipped in 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds to help secure the win
