WOODLAND, Calif. – After a standout performance in Northern Colorado's road dual at New Mexico State, Maria Erokhina has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Swimmer of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Erokhina dominated both breaststroke events, sweeping the 100 and 200 distances with times of 1:03.05 and 2:16.66, respectively. She also contributed to UNC's winning 200-yard medley relay, helping the Bears open the meet with a season-best 1:44.51 finish.
Her consistency and speed set the tone for Northern Colorado's strong outing, as the Bears captured nine event titles in Las Cruces.
This marks the third weekly honor for the Bears in their first four weeks of competition, highlighting UNC's early-season momentum under head coach Lisa Ebeling.
