Erokhina Opens NCAA Championships in 100 Breaststroke

ATLANTA, Ga. — Maria Erokhina opened competition Thursday at the 2026 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming & Diving Championships, competing in the 100 breaststroke at the McAuley Aquatic Center.
Erokhina posted a time of 1:00.18 in the preliminary heats, finishing 35th overall against a field of the nation's top collegiate swimmers .
The senior split 28.20 at the halfway mark before closing in 31.98, finishing just off her entry time in a highly competitive event that featured multiple sub-58 second performances at the top of the leaderboard.
Erokhina will return to the pool Friday for the 200 breaststroke, with prelims set for 8 a.m. MT and finals scheduled for 4 p.m. MT.
