GREELEY, Colo.- Northern Colorado women's golf is back on the road as they gear up for their first in-state tournament of the season—the Ron Moore Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Denver.
The tournament tees off this Friday, October 3, offering the Bears another chance to build on their early-season momentum.
The team heads into the event fresh off a strong performance at the Seattle U Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational, where they earned an impressive fifth-place finish. It was another sign of the squad's consistency and growth as the fall season progresses.
Timbre Shehee continues to lead the way for Northern Colorado. She's opened the fall with back-to-back top 10 finishes—claiming second place in her first outing and following it up with a sixth place showing in the most recent tournament. Her strong form has been a driving force behind the Bears' success this season.
Samantha Colombine has also gotten off to a strong start placing back-to-back top 20 finishes in their early tournaments.
The Bears aim to carry their early-season success into the Ron Moore Intercollegiate, where they'll face a competitive field and look to make a strong statement.
