GREELEY, Colo. – Isaiah Hawthorne paced Northern Colorado (13-5, 5-0 Big Sky) to its seventh-straight win, with a 72-69 triumph over Portland State at Bank of Colorado Thursday.

Brock Wisne finished with 15 points, four rebounds and four assists. He converted 6 of 10 from the floor. Jaron Rillie stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, six rebounds, two assists and a theft. Langston Reynolds chipped in with seven points, five rebounds, four assists and a rejection.
The Bears built a 36-26 advantage at intermission, draining 13 of 27 from the floor, including 8 of 11 from the free-throw line in the first 20 minutes. They held the Vikings to 10 of 27 from the field, including 5 of 13 from 3-point range.
Portland State utilized a 7-0 run in 1:49 and cut its largest deficit of the game at 12 down to five at 38-33, just three minutes into the second half. The Vikings sliced the margin to two on four separate occasions but UNC responded every time and never trailed in the game.
