BALTIMORE, M. – For the second fixture in succession a freshman tallied their first collegiate goals for Northern Colorado.
In the 32nd minute, Lauryn Maggio chipped a shot over the outstretched arm of the Loyola goalkeeper, knotting the game at 1-1 at Ridley Athletic Complex Sunday.
Working from the near side, Riley Kaali-Nagy centered a pass to Ashley Hillman, who slid it over to Maggio. From the far side of the top of the 18-yard box, Maggio lifted the attempt into the top corner on the near side.
In an evenly played first half, the Bears tallied six shots, with two on net, while Kaya Lindberg stopped three of the four between the pipes by the Loyola.
The Greyhounds opened the scoring in the 16th minute off a corner kick. They added goals in the 51st and 80th minutes for the final 3-1 result.

Thoughts on the team's performance.
We put together a really good first half against a good team on the road. Lauryn scored a great goal to get us back to even. We got caught early in the second half on a counter and then we had to push forward and allowed a second goal on the counter. It is always tough when you come out on the wrong end.
Looking ahead
I believe in this team and now have to get ready for Wyoming. We are getting better and I am looking forward to what should be a fun Front Range Derby.
